Outreach

Good News Club
For several years, one of our pastors and a dedicated group of church members have been honored to share the Gospel with elementary school children in our community. During the Fall and Spring, once a week, we gather to teach, memorize, sing, and pray, creating a safe and engaging space for spiritual growth and learning. We are thankful for this opportunity.

We will not hide them from their children,
but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the LORD, and His might,
and the wonders that He has done.

Psalm 78:4 ESV

Missionaries

Bob and Cathi Selph, Inner City Atlanta
Bob and Cathi Selph serve Christ full-time in inner-city Atlanta since September 2015, bringing His light and love to the impoverished African American community just west of Atlanta’s skyscrapers. They utilize various platforms to share the Gospel, partnering with East Point Church for their evangelistic endeavors. Both converted as teenagers in Flagstaff, Arizona, influenced by C.H. Spurgeon’s sermons. Bob has pastored two RBNet member churches for 29 years and authored a widely distributed book on Southern Baptists and the Doctrine of Election. Their sending church is Grace Baptist Church in Taylors, SC, USA. Additionally, our church supports them in their ministry.

David and Nicky Vaughn, France
In October 1991, commissioned by Heritage Reformed Baptist Church, the Vaughns began church planting in Chalon-sur-Saône, France, where they stayed for seven years, achieving significant milestones like translating the 1689 Confession into French. They then moved to Grenoble in March 1999, where the church grew steadily over 13 years under their leadership. In 2012, they relocated to Bouc Bel Air near Aix-en-Provence, initiating another church plant. Today, they oversee a congregation of around 35 members, and David Vaughan is involved in teaching at the Belgian Bible Institute and conducting pastoral training in West Africa.

Michael and Ashley Emadi, Ireland
The Emadis currently serve as church planters in Co. Louth, Republic of Ireland. Michael, converted at around 9 years old, grew up in a small church in Utah. After graduating from the University of Utah, he served as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Air Force, primarily stationed in Japan. Leaving the Air Force in 2007, he pursued seminary training. In 2013, Heritage Baptist Church of Owensboro, KY ordained and commissioned Michael and his wife as church planters in Ireland. They moved to Ireland in November 2014. Recently, they relocated to Dundalk, Ireland, where Michael now serves as the lead pastor. Michael is married to Ashley, and they have three children: Liam, Lorelai, and Méav

Timothy & Marlyse Wenger, Switzerland
Timothy Wenger, married to Marlyse, is planting a Reformed Baptist church in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Formerly the assistant pastor of the Reformed Baptist Church of Bulle (Switzerland), transitioned to pastoral ministry at the Reformed Baptist Church of Neuchâtel (Switzerland) in 2013, succeeding Olivier Favre. He also dedicates time to biblical and sports training for young people, many of whom serve as counselors in Christian camps.
Timothy has maintained a bi-vocational role, working part-time in the computer science industry. Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, IN, where they attended while living in Bremen in 2012, has decided to support them financially, enabling him to devote more time to pastoral ministry. Their aim is to advance the Gospel in Switzerland and facilitate the financial independence of the Reformed Baptist Church of Neuchâtel in the future.

Others

Reformed Baptist Network
We are actively involved in the Reformed Baptist Network, a network of churches believing in the independence and sufficiency of the local church and seeking to cooperate together as local churches for the edification and gospel proclamation to the nations.

Eric Pline – Missionary Fund
At Heritage Reformed Baptist Church, we’re honoring the legacy of Eric Pline, a dedicated member who supported gospel missionaries. Eric’s commitment to sending ‘extra’ funds for missionary work was exemplary. Within our building, we’ve designated a specific fund to encourage children and families to participate in this important mission. Also, Eric’s modern English translation of Thomas Hooker’s “The Poor Doubting Christian Drawn to Christ” is for sale. All proceeds go towards missions.
